Terms & Conditions

1.1 Service Agreement

Services are provided solely based on the detailed Quotation provided by ShiriN Movers & Packers and accepted by the client. The accepted Quotation forms the primary service agreement. Any services not explicitly listed in the Quotation are excluded.

1.2 Access and Site Preparation

The Client is responsible for ensuring clear, safe, and legal access to both the pickup and delivery locations. This includes securing necessary permits, building society (RWA) approvals, and ensuring elevator or staircase access is available at the scheduled time. Delays caused by lack of proper access may result in additional charges.

2.1 Quotation Validity

All quotations provided are based on the inventory list and service requirements provided by the Client. The quote is valid for a period of 15 days from the date of issue unless otherwise specified.

2.2 Inventory Accuracy

The final price is dependent on the accuracy of the inventory list provided. If the actual volume or weight of items to be moved, or the conditions at the site (e.g., floor number, distance to truck parking), differ significantly from the original description, we reserve the right to revise the final charge accordingly.

2.3 Payment Terms

A non-refundable advance booking amount (usually 20-30%) is required to confirm the booking. The remaining balance is strictly due before the final unloading of goods at the destination, unless a different payment schedule is explicitly agreed upon in writing.

3.1 Prohibited Goods

The Client must not include the following items in the consignment:

• Hazardous materials (e.g., chemicals, paint, gasoline, aerosol cans).

• Perishable goods (e.g., food, plants requiring refrigeration).

• Explosives, firearms, or illegal/contraband materials.

• Highly valuable items that should be handled personally (e.g., cash, jewelry, important documents, prescription medicines).

ShiriN Movers & Packers reserves the right to refuse to move any item deemed hazardous or prohibited without any liability.

3.2 Valuables

The Client acknowledges that high-value items (cash, jewelry, securities) are excluded from standard transit insurance coverage and must be kept in the Client’s personal possession during the move.

3.3 Documentation

The Client is responsible for providing all necessary documentation for interstate moves (e.g., required forms, declarations) if applicable. Delays due to insufficient or incorrect documentation are the Client's responsibility.

4.1 Standard Liability

Our liability for loss or damage to goods is limited to the extent provided under our standard Goods Transit Insurance policy, which covers damages caused by accidents, fire, or external means during transit.

4.2 Claim Procedure

In the event of damage or loss, the Client must notify ShiriN Movers & Packers immediately and note the damage on the delivery challan at the time of unloading. Any claim for damages must be submitted in writing within 24 hours of the completion of the move, along with supporting documentation (photographs, etc.). Claims reported after this period may be void.

4.3 Exclusions from Liability

We are not liable for:

• Damages to goods packed by the Client (self-packed items).

• Damage resulting from inherent vice or defect of the item itself.

• Loss of data or functionality of electronic equipment (unless external physical damage is visible).

• Damage caused by forces beyond our control (Act of God, civil unrest, etc.).

• Minor scratches or wear and tear inherent to the moving process.

5.1 Cancellation by Client

If the Client cancels the confirmed booking:

More than 7 days prior to the scheduled move date: The advance booking amount will be forfeited.

Less than 7 days prior to the scheduled move date: The advance booking amount will be forfeited, and an additional cancellation fee may apply based on expenses already incurred.

5.2 Rescheduling

Requests for rescheduling must be made at least 48 hours in advance and are subject to availability. Rescheduling on the day of the move may incur additional charges.

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, and the courts of Mumbai, Maharashtra, shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms.
